CranioSacral Therapy

CranioSacral Therapy is:

  1. A gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of a physiological body system called the craniosacral system - comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord.
  2. It uses a soft touch generally no greater than 5 grams, or about the weight of a nickel.
  3. Practitioners release restrictions in the craniosacral system to improve the functioning of the central nervous system.
  4. It improves the body's ability to self-care and can produce profound, positive changes.
A New Calling After 50?

I am learning that it is never too late for God to do amazing things in a person's life. After 2 years of my own healing journey using CranioSacral Therapy, God has opened the way for me to begin training and providing this healing practice to others. The GSM office here in the TriCities has provided me space to offer appointments for folks who would like to experience the relaxing and beneficial effects of CranioSacral Therapy, or CST, as it is often referred.

The following is an excerpt from the Upledger Institute ' s website: "CranioSacral Therapy (CST) was pioneered and developed by osteopathic physician John E. Upledger following extensive scientific studies from 1975 to 1983 at Michigan State University, where he served as a clinical researcher and Professor of Biomechanics. By complementing the body's natural healing processes, CST is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease, and is effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction."

As with all of our services here, appointments are offered by donation. If you would be interested in CST, please call the office and leave me a message to schedule an appointment.

Blessings in health through the power of the Holy Spirit,
